a new approach for mining and mapping technology
landscapes to identify high value opportunities.
In this webinar featuring Linda Perucca, Section
Manager, RD&Q Intellectual Property Strategy, of
Kraft Foods and Barry Brager, Managing Partner
of Perception Partners. Linda and Barry will
discuss Kraft Foods' approach to open innovation
and highlight key successes and lessons learned.

ABOUT THE
PRESENTERS
Linda Perucca
Section Manager, RD&Q Intellectual Property
Strategy
Kraft Foods
Linda Perucca joined Kraft Foods Global Inc. in
1990 as a product development scientist and has
held various positions within the organization
with increasing responsibilities. Her roles have
varied from new product development, quality
improvements, and productivity margin
improvements. Linda has also managed Basic
Sciences Physical Characteristics Area within
Research to solve business problems. In her
current role, she manages the Global
Intellectual Property Strategy for Kraft. She is
responsible to managing Kraft Foods Global Inc.
Global Patent Estate, setting the Intellectual
Property Strategy, and development and roll-out
of Global Intellectual Property programs and
processes.
Prior to joining Kraft, Linda worked three years
for Schwan Sales Enterprises as a Product
Scientist for the Tony's Pizza Food Service
Division. She holds a BS degree from Purdue
University in Food Science and a Baking
Certification from American Institute of Baking.
Linda has been a member of IFT since 1985 and
has held several positions within Chicago
Section and IFT. She is the past Chair of the
Chicago Section IFT and has held various chair
committee positions including Host Section
Activities for the National Convention. On the
National Level, Linda has been the Chair of the
Section Committee and Membership Experience
Committee that recently developed the new image
and tag line for IFT. Linda is also on the Board
of Directors for Junior Achievement of Chicago
Suburban Board.
Barry Brager
Founder and Managing Partner
Perception Partners®
Barry is the Founder and Managing Partner of
Perception Partners®.
He leads a research services organization that,
using data and text analytics, has analyzed more
than a half-million patented innovations
worldwide and has supported business decisions
related to more than $1 billion in
technology-related transactions. Barry is
recognized as a leader in the areas of IP and
innovation. In 2009 and again in 2010, Barry was
named one of the World's Leading IP Strategists
in the global IAM250, published by IAM Magazine.
In 2008, he completed his second term as Small
Business Committee Chair of the Intellectual
Property Owners Association based in Washington,
D.C. He also co-chaired the Licensing Executives
Society USA-Canada Annual Meeting that same
year. Barry is a frequent speaker on IP
strategy, valuation and the links between patent
intelligence and competitive advantage. Barry
holds an MBA from Emory University, graduating
Beta Gamma Sigma and first in his class |
