Management Roundtable

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Series fee cover?

The Series fee covers all five Guru sessions plus materials (a book by each author, articles, slides, etc.) and complimentary one-year FastTrack* subscription (for post-session audio downloads, summaries and more). The Series subscription is individual -- you will have your own username and password, though sessions and materials are shareable with others. You may have as many people join you for the sessions as you wish as long as your group listens from one phone, and you may distribute materials with everyone who participates, except where special copyright restrictions are noted.

* Current FastTrack members receive a 15% discount on the fee.

What if I can't make one or more of the sessions?

Audio downloads and summaries will be available to you shortly after each session on a member-only section of our website. You may also designate another individual from your company to be the primary participant in your place.

Can I buy attendance to just one session?

It is possible, but not optimal. The Guru sessions build on each other and provide an overall direction and cohesive action plan. Series subscribers not only save a significant amount on the per session cost, they receive the benefits of an exclusive subscribers-only online forum for networking and dialogue. They also receive downloadable follow-up summaries, slides and audio-files as well as year-round access to new research and content. However, if single-session attendance is your preference, you may register here (link to ala carte registration coming soon).  Management Roundtable also offers a la carte audiosessions which are not part of the Guru Series.

What format will the series be in?

Sessions are live, delivered via telephone and webinar technology (see technical requirements below). All that is required is a touch-tone telephone (preferably with speakerphone so others can join you), and a computer with high-speed Internet access to display the accompanying slides. Sessions are 90 minutes with half the time allotted for interactive Q&A.

What are the technical requirements?

For PC-based participants:

  • Internet Explorer® 6.0 or newer, Mozilla® Firefox® 2.0 or newer (JavaScriptTM and JavaTM enabled)
  • Windows® 2000, XP, 2003 Server or Vista
  • Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection
  • Minimum of Pentium® class 1GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM (recommended) (2 GB of RAM for Windows® Vista)

For Macintosh-based participants:

  • Safari™ 3.0 or newer, Firefox® 2.0 or newer (JavaScriptTM and JavaTM enabled)
  • Mac OS® X 10.4 (Tiger®) or newer
  • PowerPC G4/G5 or Intel processor (512 MB of RAM or better recommended)
  • Cable modem, DSL, or better Internet connection

How does Q&A work?

You will be able to ask questions of the expert speaker(s) during the sessions, in real-time, by phone or chat as well as by email in advance (or after) to Management Roundtable. Questions will be forwarded to the designated expert or entire panel if you wish.

Is there a limit to the number of questions I can ask?

You may submit as many questions as you wish - we cannot guarantee there will be time to answer every question live on each call. However all questions will be given to speakers so that questions can be answered via email. For best results, we recommend that questions be as concise, clear and focused as possible. If you are interested in detailed one-on-one discussion with any of the speakers, please contact us at 800-338-2223 or 781-891-8080 or email jackie@roundtable.com . We are glad to arrange customized phone advisory sessions at reasonable rates.

What specifically should I expect to receive?

Upon registration, you will receive:

  • Confirmation of your registration
  • Receipt for charges
  • Before each session you will receive:
    • Complimentary books - For each session you will receive one copy of the speaker's most recent book or article. These will be sent in advance so that you may think of questions prior to sessions and use as a reference after.
    • Call-in instructions, including dial-in #s and virtual conference room number will be the same for the entire series. For each presentation you will receive a personalized access code.
    • Reminder notices will be sent several days before and again on the day before each session.
  • After and between sessions you will receive:
    • Slide Presentations (these will come either as attachments or with a link for downloading from the web, depending on file sizes) - approximately 2-3 days prior to each session
    • Feedback requests to help us make continuous improvements.
    • Links to audio downloads and summaries once posted
    • Monthly FastTrack bulletin with other relevant content and updates

How can I get the most out of the Guru Series?

To maximize the benefits of the Guru Series, we recommend the following:

  • Decide who will participate with you and make each session a motivational event

  • Read the related book/article before each session, write out questions - ask "live" during the session or send by email in advance

  • Plan on discussions with your team after each session, map out action steps

  • Go to our online Guru forum and post thoughts/questions; network with other subscribers

  • Send further questions to the experts (through Management Roundtable) as you begin to implement

  • Replay the audio and slides, use them in internal presentations and/or to make a business case

  • Share the executive summaries with others in your organization

  • Send us feedback and suggestions as we go along - our goal is to meet your needs
